Mary Weisenstein

Mary Weisenstein, 91, of Charles City, died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Cedar Health in Charles City.

Funeral services for Mary Weisenstein will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Todd Yeaton will officiate. Burial will be in the Horton Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

Mary Mishler Weisenstein was born October 1, 1916, in Bremer County, the daughter of Herb and Bertha (Stufflebeam) Mishler. She received her education at Nashua. In 1935 she was united in marriage to Daniel Weisenstein at Waverly. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Mary's interests included sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing various crafts.

Living family members include three children, LaVonne (Richard) Butterfield of Center Point, Francis (Cleo) Weisenstein of Granger, Ind., and Robert Weisenstein of Prairie du Chein, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a brother, Don Mishler of Waverly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren; and a great grandson.
