Emma Bertha (Kirchgatter) Runge 1891-1982

Nora Springs services were held at St. Lukes Lutheran church for Mrs. Emma B. Runge, 90, who died Saturday, January 30, 1982, at a Mason City Hospital.

Pastor Donald Berg officiated and burial was in the Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Runge had lived all her life at Nora Springs, except for recent years in a Mason City nursing home. She is survived by one son, Virgil, Nora Springs; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Wirtjes, Britt; Mrs. William (Vivian) Boyer, Spring Valley, Minnesota; Mrs. Loren (Evelyn) Weaverling, Mason City and Mrs. Allan (Arlene) Kleintop, Charles City; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Emma Bertha Kirchgatter was born July 27, 1891, the daughter of August and Ida (Lisse) Kirchgatter. She married Henry “Max” Runge, the son of Emil and Minnie (Wilde) Runge.
