JEROME V. LARSON

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Jerome V. Larson, 57, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of Nora Springs, died Sunday, September 10, 2000, at the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Care Systems in Tucson.

Jerome was born July 30, 1943, near Rudd in Floyd County, the son of Vernon and Adelaide (Wamstad) Larson. He graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1961 and attended Mason City Junior College.

He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by ATT. Later he returned to school and graduated from Iowa State University. He has lived in Tucson for the last eight years.

Graveside committal services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rock Creek Cemetery in rural Osage, with the Rev. R. Dawson Tornes officiating. Military rites will be at the graveside by the Osage American Legion Post 278.

He is survived by his mother, Adelaide Larson, of Nora Springs; three sisters, Carole Sours and husband, Roy, of West Des Moines, Ellen White and her husband, Stuart, of Garland, Texas, and Susan Saunders and her husband, Daniel, of Hopkins, Minn.; three brothers, Dennis Larson and his wife, Cheryl, of Tucson, Ariz., David Larson and his wife, Diane, of Lakeland, Fla., and Joel Larson and his wife, Jeannine, of Nora Springs; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon, in 1992.
