NORA SPRINGS - Glen Straube, 78, of Nora Springs, died Sunday (May 2, 1999) at the Sunrise Healthcare Center, Mason City.

Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye, Nora Springs, with the Rev. Richard Pippert, of the First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the Chapel.

NORA SPRINGS - Glen Straube, 77, of Nora Springs, died Sunday (May 2, 1999) at Sunrise Healthcare Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye, Nora Springs, with the Rev. Richard Pippert of the First United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. today until time of services at the funeral chapel.

Glen was born June 19, 1921, near Nora Springs, the son of Arthur and Lyrle (Baker) Straube.

Glen attended school in Nora Springs and graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1938.

He married Naomi Joyce Fuller on Aug. 15, 1946, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

They lived and worked in the Nora Springs area for many years. Glen has lived in the Mason City area for many years, recently in Sunrise Healthcare Center.

He is survived by his sons, Loren Straube and his wife, Darlene, Spillville, and Roland Straube and his wife, Martha, Mason City; one sister, Doris Hillmer and her husband, Lyle, Mason City; six grandchildren, Beth Bartleson, Longmont, Colo., Thomas Straube, Kurt Straube, Matthew Straube, Catherine Straube, Spillville, and Heather Straube, Mason City; and one great-grandson, Cody Bartleson, Longmont, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Linda Lee Straube; his wife, Naomi Straube Fisher on Feb. 6, 1999; one brother, Robert Straube; and one sister, Erma Straube Bigelow.
