MASON CITY, IOWA - Carl W. Dreher, 96, of 1704 S. Pennsylvania Ave., died Wednesday afternoon (April 19, 2000) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2000 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., with the Rev. Bill Poland, of Wesley United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the Fullerton Funeral Home.
Carl was born on April 20, 1903, one of six children of Reinhold and Rose (Scheffel) Dreher at Nora Springs. His early education was in Nora Springs and later Wisconsin.
He lived in Nora Springs and Mason City most of his life. Carl was united in marriage to Lola Tietgen in June of 1931.
He was a life member of Mason City Elks Lodge No. 375. He owned and operated Dreher Novelty Company for over 50 years.
Carl is survived by his three daughters, Delores Dreher, of Manly, Shirley Schintgen and Joan Dreher, both of Mason City; one grandson, Michael Schintgen, of Denver, Colo.; and one step-grandson, Daniel Schintgen, of Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1982, three sisters and two brothers.
