CHARLES CITY - Amanda M. Weber Van Slyke, 88, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Charles City, died Tuesday (March 21, 2000) at the Memorial Herman Hospital SW in Houston.

A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Houston. Additional memorial services will be held at a later date this summer in Charles City.

Graveside committal services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

There will be no visitation. Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St. in Charles City, is in charge of local arrangements.
