CHARLOTTE GENEVA WILLSHER

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Charlotte Geneva Willsher, 90, died Saturday (Jan. 6, 2001) at the Nora Springs Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Nora Springs, with the Rev. Richard Pippert and the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery in Nora Springs.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye, Nora Springs, and one hour prior to the service time at the church Friday.

Charlotte Geneva Willsher was born on June 1, 1910, in Kalo, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Jessie (Arledge) Hutchinson. She received her education in the rural country schools in the Otho, Iowa, area.

She was united in marriage to George Willsher on November 27, 1929, in Mason City. He preceded her in death in 1983.

In 1941 the family moved to Nora Springs where they spent the rest of their lives. Charlotte began selling Amyway products in the 1950s and became a direct distributor in the 1960s.

She enjoyed flowers and gardening, but her great love and enjoyment was her family and grandchildren.

She was a member and very active in the Methodist Church in Nora Springs and held offices in various phases of church activities. She also was a member of the Rebekah Lodge since the late 1940s and was a Noble Grand in 1955.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Majorie Bordwell of Sun Lakes, Ariz., Ron Willsher and his wife, Gen, of Fort Meyers, Fla., Bob Willsher and his wife, Arlene, of Nora Springs, Janet Wright and her husband, Larry, of Northwood, and Marcia Rowley and her husband, Frank, of Princeton; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Hutchinson of Fort Dodge; and other relatives and friends.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Todd Willsher; a son-in-law, Jerry Bordwell; a sister, Cecil Robert; and two brothers, Roy and Ross Hutchinson.
