CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Michael A. "Mike" Albrecht, 41, of Charles City, and formerly of New Hampton, Iowa, died on Sunday, July 25, at the Floyd County Medical Center.

He was born on October 13, 1968, in Charles City, son of Dennis and Sandra (Nemmers) Albrecht. He married Stacey Ungs in Fredericksburg, and they later divorced. He married Teffany Pattschull on May 19, 2010, in Las Vegas at Special Memory Chapel.

Mr. Albrecht graduated from New Hampton High School in 1987. He had worked for Beatrice Cheese Factory, Fredericksburg, as a machine operator; was employed as a welder at Featherlite Trailer Manufacturer, Nashua, for several years; worked at Unverferth Manufacturing, Shell Rock; and most recently worked at GMT Manufacturing, Nashua.

Mike is survived by his wife; two sons, Nathan (Emily) of New Hampton and Dylan of Ankeny; a granddaughter; his parents, of New Hampton; a brother, John (Hope) of Goose Creek, S.C.; and a sister, Denise (Matt) Brummond of Dike.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Albrecht; paternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Grace and Emil Lestikow; and his maternal grandparents, Lorrin and Elizabeth Nemmers.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton, with burial in the New Hampton Cemetery. Public visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
