NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Karen Elnora Vikturek, 81, died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at the Nora Springs Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Nora Springs with the Rev. Ruth Hansen officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services today at the church. Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 N. Hawkeye, Nora Springs, is in charge of arrangements.

Karen Elnora Jacobsen was born May 21, 1918 at Nora Springs, the daughter of Nels and Lucy (Harden) Jacobsen. She graduated from Nora Springs High School in May of 1937.

Survivors include her mother, Lucy Jacobsen; her brother, Harley Jacobsen and his wife, Rosie; one sister-in-law, Donna Jacobsen; children, Marion Blume; Dale Jacobsen, Betty Jean Coomes, Roger Nations, Charleen Wartnaby, Ronnie Ferguson; Rosemary Ferguson and Judy Ann Bernard; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nels Jacobsen; one brother, Harold "Bud" Jacobsen; and one son, Gerald Vikturek; and three grandchildren.
