John Loomer

CHARLES CITY — John Loomer, 69, former resident of 2156 Underwood Ave., died Saturday (March 28) at the Eleventh Street Chautauqua Guest Home, Charles City.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, with the Rev. Larry Vallery, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at a later date. There will be a flag presentation by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Friends may greet the family an hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

John Gardner Loomer was born September 28, 1928, at Charles City.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Loomer of Franklin, Wis., and John Loomer of Delavan, Wis.; his mother, Vada Loomer of Charles City; a sister, Norma Breckenridge of Louisville, Ken.; a brother-in-law, Doug Havlik of Cedar Rapids; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister.
