Bernice C. ‘Bernie’ Butler

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Bernice C. "Bernie" Butler, 73, 404 Ferguson St., died Monday (March 30, 1998) at home.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, U.S. Highway 18 and Clark Street, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., with a 3 p.m. rosary by St. Theresa’s Circle and a 7 p.m. Parish Scriptural wake service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to Mass on Thursday at the church.

Bernice Carolyn Piper was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Mountain Lake, Minn.

Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Charles City; two daughters, Jill Schroeder, of Apple Valley, Minn., and Jean Kinard, of Cedar Falls; four grandsons, and one sister, Maxine Singsaas, of Fairbanks, Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to North Iowa Hospice, Charles City Satellite, or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
