Mona Melrose

CHARLES CITY — Mona Melrose, 102, a former resident of 901 Court St., died Monday (May 18, 1998) at the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at the First Congregational Church, Charles City, with the Rev. Jack Ivey officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mona May Kies Melrose was born May 1, 1896, on a farm near Cambridge, Iowa.

Survivors include three children, Mona Altiery, of Honolulu, Hawaii; Andy Melrose, of Charles City; and Nancy Albertson, of Iowa City; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and a grandchild.

Memorials may be directed to the First Congregational Church of Charles City.
