CHARLES CITY — Carl P. Peterson, 94, died Saturday (Feb. 21, 1998) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery with military graveside honors conducted by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Friends may call from 12 to 9 p.m. today at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, with the family present from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Charles City Senior Citizens Center.

Carl Phillip Peterson was born Jan. 22, 1904, in Grant County, Minn.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Medlang of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, David Peterson of North Liberty; two grandchildren; and one step-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four sisters, and two brothers.
