CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Connie K. "Lumm" Kuykendall, 48, died Saturday, January 31, 1998, at the Ninth St. Chautauqua Home from complications of Multiple Sclerosis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sunnyside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Larry Vallery of Trinity United Methodist Church, Charles City, officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, and from 9 a.m. until time of services at the chapel.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Connie K. "Lumm" Kuykendall was born Aug. 24, 1949, to Earl and Vera (Baldwin) Lumm in Charles City. She was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Charles City, and graduated from Charles City High School in 1967. On Feb. 17, 1968, she married Fred Kuykendall. They were divorced in October 1982. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her two daughters.
Survivors include her parents, Earl and Vera Lumm of Mason City; two daughters, Greg and Julie Van Auken and their son, Stephen, of Charles City, and Paul and Jennifer Johnson and their children, Heather, Alan and Richard, of Charles City; one sister, Brenda Lumm of Greene; two brothers, Douglas Lumm of Mason City, and Rodney and Diane Lumm and their children, Tiffany and Ryan, of Clear Lake.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Lumm in 1958; paternal grandparents, Roland and Minnie Lumm; and maternal grandparents, Harold and Martha Baldwin.
