CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services will be at the Hauser Funeral Home here at 10 a. m. Wednesday for Patty Jean Nelson, 18-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nelson, farmers, who live 10 miles northwest of Charles City, who died of second and third degree burns at an Iowa City hospital Sunday afternoon.

She was severely burned Friday when her clothing caught fire from a gas stove at the Nelson Home. She apparently got on a chair and leaned over the stove. She received second and third degree burns on the left thigh and arm and trunk of the body and was taken to the Cedar Valley hospital here for emergency treatment, after which her father flew her to Iowa City in his plane.

She leaves a sister, Mary Ann, 4; two brothers, Edward, 2, and Jimmy, 10 weeks; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Nelson, Nashua, and Mr. and Mrs. John B. Etter, Ionia; and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lange, and John Etter. Sr., all of Nashua, and Mrs. Augusta Thompson, of Harlan.
