CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Robert J. "Bob" Young, 55, of 804 Tenth Ave., died Monday (Aug. 10, 1998) at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Charles City, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Charles City.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City. The vigil parish scriptural wake service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Thursday at the church prior to services.

Robert James "Bob" Young was born Sept. 3, 1942, in Charles City.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria of Charles City; two sons, Robert "Robbie" Young and Christopher Young, both of Charles City; his father, Arlo Young of Charles City; a sister Linda Hansen, Charles City; and a step-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
