Dies in Minnesota

FLOYD, IOWA - Graveside services for Ray W. Abbott, 73, who died at St. Peter, Minn., Monday, were to be held Friday in the Oak wood Cemetery in Floyd. The Rev. H. F. Mercer, pastor of the First Central Methodist Church, Charles City, was to officiate.

Mr. Abbott has not been in the community for a number of years. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Merriman, operated a hotel in Floyd at one time. His mother was the former Helen Merriman.

The Grossmann funeral home, Charles City, was in charge of the burial.
