NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Reverend Arthur B. Mercer, PawPaw, Illinois, former pastor of the Nora Springs Methodist Church died Sunday at Sugar Grove, Illinois. The family came to Nora Springs in the fall of 1948 from a chaplaincy at Fairbanks, Alaska.

He became very seriously ill here in 1951 and left Nora Springs in the early winter of 1952, having partially recovered his health, he had served charges at Sugar Grove and Morris, Illinois since then.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mary; two sons, Robert PawPaw; and Joe, Palo Alto, California; a daughter, Carol, student at the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale.

Funeral services will be at PawPaw.
