PATRICIA L. MUSKOVICH

NORA SPRINGS - Patricia L. Muskovich, 68, of 110 First St. N.W., Nora Springs, died Monday (July 10, 2000) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Nora Springs with the Rev. Richard Pippert and the Rev. Deborah Stowers officiating.

Inurnment will be in Park Cemetery in Nora Springs. The family will greet friends for an hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or the Nora Springs Public Library.

Patricia was born on June 5, 1932, in Nora Springs, the daughter of Darrell and Gertrude Elva (Tibbits) Sanford. She graduated from Nora Springs High School and from Mason City Business College.

Patricia was united in marriage to Mike Muskovich on Nov. 7, 1953, in Albert Lea, Minn. She worked for many years as a secretary at Decker's in Mason City and also was a homemaker. She began work as a secretary for United Way in 1972, retiring in 1982. Patricia enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading and traveling with her husband in their motor home, especially to the desert Southwest.

She was a member of the Nora Springs United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was a volunteer for the Nora Springs Public Library and the Mason City Youth Task Force.

Patricia is survived by three daughters, Mary Schissel and her husband, Ron, of Dougherty, Michelle Stiles and her husband, Bill, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., and Marcia Brightman and her husband, Bob, of Newport News, Va.; one son, James Muskovich and his wife, Julie, of Green Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Shari Kisner, Michael Schissel, Mathew Schissel, Tamra Choate, Delaney Brightman, Alisha Muskovich, Amanda Muskovich, Micah Muskovich and Aspen Muskovich; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Robin.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Mike, in 1995.
