Reineke Rites Will Be Tuesday at Charles City

Charles City, Iowa – Funeral services will be held at the Hauser Funeral Home here Tuesday for August Reineke, 75, who died Friday at the Cedar Valley Hospital here, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.

The Rev. Ellis Webb and the Rev. William Lane of the Flood Cree and St. Charles Methodist churches, will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here. He was a member of the Flood Creek Methodist church.

A resident of Ulster Township, he had been living on his farm five miles east and two miles south of Rockford. He had lived on the same farm since coming to this country from Germany with his parents when he was three years old.

He is survived by two daughters, Florence Irwin, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Gladys Morian, North Platte, Nebraska, one grandson and one sister, Miss Lilllian Reineke, who has made her home with her brother.

His wife, the former Etta Hebrechtsmeyer, died Jan 16, 1926 At the age of 40. His parents and two sisters also preceded him in death.
