Charles City, Iowa – Adolph Herbrechtsmeyer, 83, Friday, after a year of failing health; suffered stroke last Sunday; came to the United States with his parents from Germany when he was seven years old; resident of Charles City community since 1870; retired from farm in 1905 to Charles City; member of Central Methodist church; leaves widow, the farmer Mary Braend; three daughters, Mrs. Clark Kolwell, Floyd; Mrs. Lucy Larsen, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. Ella Klages, Charles City,; son, W. A. Herbrechtsmeyer, Charles City; seven grandchildren; a brother, W. C. Herbrecht, Charles City; funeral 2 p.m. Monday at Hauser funeral home; burial in Riverside cemetery.

Charles City Resident Dies
A. G. Herbrechtsmeyer, 83, Succumbs Following Stroke at His Home

CHARLES CITY—Adolph G. Herbrechtsmeyer, 83, died at his home on South Main street Friday evening following a stroke suffered last Sunday. He had lived in Floyd county since 1870.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p. m. in the Hauser funeral home with the Rev. C. D. James, pastor of the Central Methodist church, in charge, Burial will be made in the Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Herbrechtsmeyer is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Colwell of Floyd, Mrs. Lucy Larsen of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Ella Klages of Charles City; a son, W. A. Herbrechtsmeyer of Charles City; a brother, W. C. Herbrecht of Charles City, and seven grandchildren.
