CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hauser Funeral
Home here for Julia M. Towner, 88, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank
Jenness, in Pensacola, Florida, where she had made her home for 14 years. The body arrived in
Charles City Wednesday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here.

A lifelong resident of this community until the time when she went to Florida to live with her
daughter,

Mrs. Towner was born in Niles Township. Her husband, Oscar J. Towner, preceded
her in death on March 3, 1920.

She is survived by Mrs. Jenness and one brother, Bert Gregory, Waterloo. She was also preceded
in death by one brother, Herbert Gregory, and three sisters.

Julia was found in the 1940 census living in Charles City, Ward 2, with Frank Jenness and his wife Hazel.
