Kenneth Dugan, 61, of Charles City, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Kenneth Dean Dugan was born November 27, 1948, in Floyd County, the son of Ray and Dorothy (Schmidtke) Dugan. In infancy Kenneth contracted an illness that left him permanently and profoundly disabled. Over the years he was cared for by his loving family and then at care facilities including the last 23 years at Comprehensive Systems Burling House in Charles City. Over those years the staff became his second family and the outstanding care they gave will always be remembered and appreciated.

Living family members include a sister, Pam (Duane) Davenport of Charles City; two brothers, Mike (Sandra) Dugan of Charles City and Ronnie (Jeleen) Dugan of Floyd; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lona Dugan.
