BORN IN CHARLES CITY

CHARLES CITY, Iowa - Connie L. (Boehmer) Hamm, age 45 of Nashua, died Monday morning June 18, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, June 22, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Nashua with Pastor Lloyd Johnson officiating. Nelda Shepard will be the organist accompanying the congregation singing "On Eagles Wings" & "Amazing Grace".

Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Ionia. Casket bearers are Jeramie Wasem, Shannon Boehmer, Jason Havlik, Christopher Boehmer, Tyler Boehmer and Norman Schuchhardt. Serving as honorary casket bearers are Shane Voelker, Jessie Boehmer, Paul Schuchhardt, Simon Schuchhardt and Lee Schuchhardt.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Connie Louise Boehmer was born February 26, 1962, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Patricia (Hoy) Boehmer. She attended elementary school and high school at Nashua. Later, Connie earned a G.E.D. from N.I.A.C.C.

Connie was married to Randy Kelleher and three children were born to this union. They were later divorced. She was united in marriage to Dennis Hamm on October 10, 1998, in Charles City. They made their home in Nashua.

Connie worked at Sara Lee in New Hampton for more than ten years until the plant closed. She then began working at Omega Cabinets in Waterloo. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, playing cards with the family and spending time with her grandkids. She also had fun performing karaoke and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hamm; her parents, Richard and Pat Boehmer; two sons, Mitchell Kelleher of Jonesboro, GA and Owen (Kellie) Kelleher of Hampton, GA; two daughters, Randi (Doug Griffin) Kelleher and Tessa Marion, both of Nashua; three grandchildren, Dominique, Toyia and Devon Griffin of Nashua; three brothers, Rick (Charlet) Boehmer of Nashua, Bryon (Nattie) Boehmer of New Hampton and Randy (Ronda) Boehmer of Plainfield and a sister, Deb (Charlie) Dankmyer of Virginia Beach, VA.

She was preceded by a sister, Brenda L. Boehmer and a brother, Darron D. Boehmer.
