Former resident dies in Detroit

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services for D. E. McKinnon, age 74, a former resident of Charles City, were held Monday in Wilkie's Funeral Parlors in Detroit, Mich. Burial was in a Detroit Cemetery. McKinnon died there Thursday of cancer.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. F. N. Kelly, Detroit; a step-son, M. H. Soehren, and a daughter, Emma McKinnon, both of Charles City.

He was employed as a supervisor in the sheet metal department of the Oliver Corporation plant here from 1924 to 1942
