CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Services for Douglas D. LaBounty, 38, a former resident of Charles City, who died Sunday as a result of a snowmobile accident in Alta, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St.
Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake; burial in Buena Vista Memorial Park in Storm Lake.Survivors include his wife, Mabel; three daughters, Debbie, Diana, and Lisa, all at home;
his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jeannetti of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; a brother, Glen of New Jersey; three sisters, Mrs. Delores Simone of New Jersey, Dianne Schaub of

Charles City native dies snowmobiling
SIOUX CITY (AP) — A Storm Lake man, who was a native of Charles City, died in a hospital Sunday night of injuries he received in a snowmobiling accident.
Douglas D. LaBounty, 38, was run over by at least two other machines after his flipped at the Alta Speedway during Storm Lake snow festival races Sunday, according to Dr. Thomas Corden, Woodbury County medical examiner.
LaBounty, a graduate of Immaculate Conception School at Charles City, who had been running second in the race, was transferred to Sioux City from the Buena Vista Hospital with head injuries. His services are pending in Storm Lake.
