Kimberley A. Stoddard, 47, of Charles City, died Monday, November 9, 2009, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Sr. Diana Blong of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Kimberley Ann Tibbitts Stoddard was born July 5, 1962, at Charles City, the daughter of Kale and Ann (Gardner) Tibbitts. Kim graduated from the Deerfield High School in 1980 and later attended two years at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. In 1983, she was united in marriage to Charles Beattie in Deerfield, Illinois.

In 1988, she married Steven Stoddard. Kim was employed with Edison Company, Motorola and at several banks. She enjoyed people and always looked forward to sharing the cookies she baked with them. In 2003 she moved to Charles City. Kim served as an honorary chairman for the American Cancer Relay for Life. She was past secretary and treasurer for the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post # 3914. Her interests included crafts, making bead jewelry, photography. She was an avid NASCAR and Raiders fan and looked forward to watching her two sons play softball.

Living family members include her two sons, Derek Beattie and Jeffrey Stoddard, both of Charles City; mother, Ann (Hugh) Bunten of Galena, Ill.; six siblings, Kerry (Peppie) McLachlan of Cathedral City, Calif., Joseph (Lisa) McLachlan of Harvard, Ill., Lacey (Nathan) Baum of La Crosse, Wis., Mitch Tibbitts of La Crosse, Wis., Mike (Cynthia) Bunten of North Liberty and Lisa Combs of North Liberty; nieces and nephews, Shawn Morgan, Ryan McLachlan, Matthew McLachlan, Jennifer (Brian) Camp, John McLachlan, Paige McLachlan, Ruby Sue Baum, Drew Camp, Kendall Camp, Audrey Bunten and Tyler Cole; many aunts, uncles and cousins; close caregiving friends, Andrea Fransdal, Kandice Rollefson and Helgi Shields; and three beloved dogs, Mooka, Pacino and Rex.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kale B. Tibbitts on September 16, 2007; maternal grandparents, John and Vivian Gardner; paternal grandparents, Burr and Ina Tibbitts; and three uncles, Lyle Tibbitts, James Gardner and Richard Gardner.
