MARBLE ROCK, IOWA — Mrs. F. W. Bower, 67, a lifelong resident of Marble Rock and vicinity, died at her home Friday of heart disease.

Born at Earlville, Iowa, as Ethel Aimee Cates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cates, and came to a farm near Marble Rock when a year and a half old, where she lived until her marriage to P. W. Bower on September 26, 1894. She moved into Marble Rock where she lived since; member
of Christian church.

Survived by her husband, two children, Mrs. Clifton Sours of Marble Rock and Glenn A. Bowers of Nashua, four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Bower of Charles City, and a brother, Cleland Cates of Rockford.

Funeral services held in the home Monday afternoon with Rev. Milton H. Nothdurft of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
