CHARLES CITY, IOWA — George E. Bentley, 80, retired jeweler and optometrist, Tuesday at his home; Hauser funeral home is in charge of arrangements; was in business 26 years in the building now occupied by the Dean jewelry store.

Survivors include his wife, and a son, James, Cedar Falls.
