CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Mabel H. Matson, 78, of 62 Cedar Terrace S., died Monday (April 29, 1996) at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dennis Niezwaag officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., and one hour prior to services at the church.

Mabel Helena Matson was born April 20, 1918, at Charles City.

Survivors include one daughter, Charlene Marson of Waterloo; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Memorials may be directed to the Heart to Home Hospice of Charles City or the Floyd County Cancer Society.
