RITES HELD FOR RUDD PIONEER

PETER C. LOHR CAME TO TOWN WITH FOLKS
IN COVERED WAGON

RUDD, IOWA -- Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Rudd Methodist Church for Peter C. Lohr.

Burial was in the Rudd cemetery.

Peter C. Lohr, son of Conrad and Anna [Kneisel] Lohr, was born near Cleveland, Ohio on February 17, 1854 and died Wednesday morning.

As a child of two years, he came with his parents in a covered wagon to the prairies of Iowa. The family settled near Osage, then a mere village, and built themselves a log cabin on Rock Creek.
