dies at 84;
Rites SaturdayNORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Henry Franklin Nagle, 84, died Wednesday [Feb. 3, 1960] morning at the Nora Springs nursing home.
Funeral services will be Saturday [Feb. 6, 1960] at 2 p.m. at the Sheckler Funeral Home, Nora Springs. The Reverend Amedee Frederic will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar community cemetery.
Born January 21, 1876, at Dorland, Illinois, he was married to Alma Ann Golden, September 7, 1904, at Fidell, Illinois. They came to Iowa from Hume, Illinois in 1914 and to Nora Springs in 1944. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, six children, Mrs. Art (Ethel "Lee") Tribbensee, St. Angar; Howard, Charles City; Mrs. Carl (Evelyn) Deeds, Waterloo; Mrs. Newell (Lucy) Larson, and Mrs. John (Ena) Bell, both of St. Ansgar; Rodger, Waterloo; 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A son, Robert died in infancy.

NOTES:
Both Henry and his wife, Alma (Ann Golden), were orphans, and met each other in an orphanage -- so little is known about their ancestry.
Apparently Henry died on February 3, 1960, which was a Wednesday.
