CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Grossmann's Funeral home, for Mrs. Rose Ponto, 77, who died in the Cedar Valley Hospital Monday; evening of a heart condition. Dr. Arthur F. Schuldt will officiate and burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Anamosa, Iowa.

Born in Anamosa, Iowa, on December 19, 1876, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Belknap. She was educated in the Anamosa schools and taught school there before her marriage to Penn M. Ladd in 1901; Mr. Ladd died in 1919, from injuries sustained in a car accident.

In 1924 she was married to Charles J. Ponto, who also preceded her in death. Rose is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jesse Flair, Charles City, Iowa, and by two sisters, Mrs. T. B. Hines, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Mrs. John Craven of Oregon.

Preceding her in death were three brothers and one daughter.
