Levi John Sansgard

CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Levi John Sansgard, 3-month-old son of Stacy John Sansgard and Melissa Gale Funte, died unexpectedly Saturday (Feb. 8, 1997) at Floyd County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main and Gilbert streets, with the Rev. Dennis D. Niezwaag and the Rev. Karen Rask Behling officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt Street. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Levi John Sansgard was born Oct. 19, 1996, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital. He was baptized at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church on Dec. 21, 1996.

Survivors include his parents, Stacy Sansgard and Melissa Funte of Charles City; a sister, Cheyenne Breanna Sansgard at home in Charles City; paternal grandparents, Clair and Audrey Sansgard of Charles City; maternal grandparents, Glenda and Darwin Beatty of Charles City and Raymond Funte of Osage; Paternal great-grandparents Ivan and Evelyn Sansgard of Elmore, Minn., and Alta Finlayson of Glendale, Ariz.; maternal great-grandparents, George and Arlene Clark of Clarksville, Rose Funte of Charles City, Alice and Darwin Beatty of Nashua and Dave and Ramona Roeder of Fredericksburg; two aunts, Tracy Funte of Osage and Angela (Mrs. Troy) Eads of Houston, Texas, as well as numerous great-aunts, uncles and second cousins.

He was preceded in death by a paternal great-grandfather, John Finlayson, and a maternal great-grandfather, Ray Funte.
