CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Byrd O'Rourke, 87, a former resident of 605 Jefferson St., Floyd, Iowa, died on Thursday, March 6, 1997, at the Salsbury Baptist Home in Charles City.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Monsignor Stanley J. Hayek officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauser Funeral Home, 1205 S. Main St., with a 3:30 p.m. rosary by St. Patrick's Circle and a 7:30 p.m. parish Vigil Scripture service. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.

Byrd Cleone Frank O'Rourke was born on August 19, 1909, at Northwood, Worth county, Iowa.

Survivors include a son, Harold of Carroll; a half brother, Harold Hubbard of Iowa Falls; a sister, Kathryn Schuknecht of Florence, South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
