ROBERT RAY ‘BOB’ CROOKS

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Robert Ray “Bob” Crooks, 84, of Charles City, died Saturday (Aug. 21, 2004) at the Muse- Norris Hospice Unit in Mason City after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua where there will also be a 7 p.m. Scripture service.

Further visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. On line memorial condolences may be left for Bob at www.hugebackfuneral home.com

Bob is survived by his five sons, Alden (Dorothy) Crooks of Rudd, Keith (Darlene) Crooks of Dubuque, David (Maralee) Crooks of Cedar Falls, Ronald (Denise) Crooks of Charles City, and Kenneth (Mary) Crooks of Charles City; two daughters, Jan (Duane) Wheat of Bremerton, Wash., and Diana Reams-Clites (Bob) of New Hampton; 21 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva; on son; Gerald Lynn in 1946; one granddaughter, Mary Crooks; one grandson, Jefferey T. Crooks; one great-granddaughter; Alexandria Crawford; one son-in-law, Richard “Dick” Reams; 18 brothers and sisters.
