ROCKFORD, IOWA — Betty C. Fikse, 75, of 1852 Zinna Ave., died Thursday (May 29, 2003) at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Remnant Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ind., 24 Third St. N.W., Nora Springs, with Elder Ellsworth Tevis officiating. There will be no visitation. Her body will be cremated. Memorials may be given to the Remnant Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ind., in memory of Betty C. Fikse for Bibles to Ghana, Africa.

Betty was born on October 4, 1927, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the daughter of James and Viva (Legg) Alexandres.

She is survived by her four children, Debra Howard and husband, Alan, of Colfax; Yvonne Santee and husband, Gordon, of Rockford; Doug Erdman and wife, Julie, of Des Moines, and John Erdman and wife, Becky, of Mason City; grandchildren, Melinda Howard-Herrarte and husband, Jose, Amber Siefken, Chris Wood, Justin Erdman, Johnathan Erdman, Heather Erdman and Josh Erdman; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Siefken, Courtney Kulish, Jenna Siefken, Chandler Santee, Michael Lieb and Kristopher Erdman.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and son, Donald.
