Diane R. (Koebrick) Christie, 48, of Charles City, died Wednesday evening, November 26, 2003, at her home after a battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, December 3, at the Fullerton-Hage Funeral Home, 401 Blunt St., Charles City, with Rev. Dennis Niezwaag officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, in Marble Rock. The family will greet friends from Noon until the 2 p.m. service Wednesday at the funeral home. Those planning memorials or an expression of sympathy may direct them to the family.

Diane Rae (Koebrick) Christie was born May 30, 1955, in Charles City, the daughter of Donald and Bonnie (Tibbetts) Koebrick. Diane enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Animal Planet on TV, shopping at local thrift stores, collecting Bald Eagle figurines and pictures, in addition to spending time with her family, friends and fianc/. Diane's greatest joy was loving her children and grandchildren.

Those grateful for having had the privilege of sharing in Diane's life include her children, Adam G. Christie and his wife, Cindy, and their son, Jared, of Garner; Angela A. (Christie) Hermann and her husband, Jeff, and their son, Colbie, of Rockford; her fiance, Bob Kolthoff, and his mother, Arlene Kolthoff, both of Charles City; her step-father, Eldon Rand and his wife, Cathy, of Marble Rock; two grandmothers, Gertrude Koebrick and Verda 'Granny' Cowan, both of Charles City; two brothers, David Koebrick and his wife, Vicky, of Garner; and Donald Koebrick and his wife, Shelley, of Charles City; three sisters, Darlene Rex and her husband, Rick, of Marble Rock; Peggy Squire of Charles City and Donna Drake and her husband, Doug, of Alexander, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Diane will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Bonnie; maternal grandfather, Melvin Tibbetts; paternal grandfather, Alfred Koebrick and step maternal grandfather, Sam Cowan.
