Fred C. Perry, 45, a resident of 903 5th Avenue, Charles City, died Thursday, October 30, 2003, near Floyd of natural causes.

A funeral Mass for Fred Perry will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Monsignor Walter Brunkan, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Greene, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City. Military Honors will be conducted by the Charles City National Guard.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday where there will be a Vigil Scriptural Wake Service at 5:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday at the church an hour prior the Mass.

Fred Charles Perry was born June 29, 1958, at Charles City, the son of Fred D. and Joybelle (Busch) Perry. He graduated from the Charles City High School in 1978. Fred was a 20-year military veteran with service in the active Army and the Iowa National Guard. On May 6, 2000, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Kepple at Greene. He was currently employed at Winnebago Industries. His memberships included the American Legion of Greene, the Charles City V.F.W., AMVETS, and Pheasants Forever. Fred's interests included hunting, fishing, and being with his dog, Quiz. The time spent with his family was of great importance but most of all it was the time spent with his daughter Olivia.

Living family members include his wife, Rhonda of Charles City; a daughter, Olivia of Charles City; his mother, Joybelle Perry of Charles City; two sisters, Mary Knecht and Missy (Jaymes) Fannon both of Charles City; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews.

His father, paternal grandparents, Grant and LaVyna Perry, maternal grandparents, John and Mary Busch, and several uncles preceded him in death.
