NASHUA, IOWA - Henrietta Oudekerk, age 93, of Nashua, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2003, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at St. John Lutheran Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, both in Nashua. Visitation will be today, Tuesday, October 7, 2003, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to the family.

She was born October 4, 1910, at Harper, Illinois, the daughter of Koert and Alice (Dieteman) Oudekerk. She went to country school at the Butler School west of Nashua. She worked as a housekeeper for various businesses and at home in Nashua. She also worked for Sherman Nursery in Charles City and Ed Poppe Farms of Nashua.

She is survived by a son, Arthur (Arlene) Oudekerk of Nashua; two sisters: Grace (Roy) Ahart of Burchinal, Iowa, and Alice Bluhm of Charles City; two grandchildren: Tami Oudekerk of Nashua and Arthur Oudekerk, Jr. of Mason City; and one granddaughter, Brandy Sorenson of Charles City.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: George, Harm and Koert, Jr.; and one sister, Anna Oudekerk.

Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Homes in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
