RUDD, IOWA - Bradley J. LaCoste, 23, of 301 6th Street, Rudd, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after battling cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Rolling Acres Christian Reformed Church, 340 20th St. S.W., Mason City, with Pastor Paul Schaefer of Plymouth Road Open Bible Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, Floyd county, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City, and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be given to the Bradley J. LaCoste Memorial Fund.
Brad was born February 19, 1979, in Osage, the son of Alan and Sharon (Beard) LaCoste. Brad graduated from Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock High School in 1997. In May of 2002, he graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. Following graduation, Brad accepted a position as a draftsman for a manufacturing company in Oelwein. At the age of nine, Brad accepted Christ as his savior and, when home, attended Plymouth Road Open Bible Church. Brad enjoyed his nieces, nephews and sports.
He is survived by his parents, Alan and Sharon LaCoste of Rudd; brother, Wayne LaCoste and wife, Sarah of Rudd; sister, Stacy Gooder and husband Jason of Rudd; maternal grandmother, Mary Beard of Floyd; paternal grandmother, Iris LaCoste of Rudd; two nephews, Dayton and Logan; three nieces, Alexis, Sheridan and Mackenzie; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brad was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Bob Beard and Ray LaCoste.
Major Erickson Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
