BASSETT, IOWA - Marie Boggess Zimmerman, age 86, of Charles City, formerly of Bassett, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2002, at the Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home in Nashua. Burial will be in Mt. Carroll Cemetery, rural Ionia. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at the Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Marie was born in Howard County on Oct. 3, 1916, the daughter of Harry and Myrtle (Weber) Clark. She attended high school in Colwell. Marie was united in marriage to Raymond Boggess in Waterloo on June 20, 1934, and to Farrald Zimmerman on October 17, 1986, at Prairie du Chien. She worked as a housekeeper.

Marie is survived by four children: Phyllis (Dennis) Stock of Ionia, Ruby (Kenneth) Goodale of Osage, Donald (Lanora) Boggess of Cedar Falls, and Donna (Dean) Lynch of Floyd; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Raymond Boggess, June 3, 1985, and Farrald Zimmerman; a son: Jerry in infancy; two daughters: Lorraine Boggess and Wilma Fisher; her parents; four brothers: Harold, Kenneth, Delbert and James Clark; one sister: Lola Venz; and a grandson, Bob Goodale.

Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
