CLINTON, IOWA - Merlin R. Merrick of Clinton, formerly of Rockford, Iowa, passed away Aug. 19, 2002, following a lengthy illness.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Mary; a son, Roger Merrick, and daughter Karen Thal, both of California; two brothers, Charles Merrick and wife, Margaret, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Hollis Merrick and wife, Lucile, of Rogers, Ark.; and a sister, Marjorie Lockhart and husband, Robert. Also surviving are three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ora Merrick, and his first wife, Luella.
