WATERLOO, IOWA - Ruby A. Warren Canelli, 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at her residence in Waterloo, of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with a 6 p.m. Rosary Service and a 7 p.m. Scripture Service. There will be one hour of visitation before the service at the church on Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Ruby was born on March 17, 1925, in Charles City, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Springer) Caruth. She attended parochial school in Charles City and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. On June 7, 1943, she was united in marriage to Ivan F. Warren in Camp Hood, Texas. The couple lived in the Waverly area where Ruby worked at Carnation as a lab technician, a job she held for 34 years. Ivan passed away on February 6, 1975. She was then married to Albert A. Canelli on December 31, 1976, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly. They lived in Waverly until moving to Waterloo in 1981. Albert passed away on April 4, 1998.
Ruby is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Vallory & Duane Meier of Waterloo, and Connie & Richard Van Dyke of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Andorf of Cedar Falls, Irene Kepple of Ionia, and Alice Grady of Mason City; and one brother, William Caruth of Chandler, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan; her husband, Albert; one son Ivan Warren Jr.; two sisters, Marion Jeannetti and Roseanne Caruth; and two brothers, Harold Caruth and Cecil Caruth.
The Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, is in charge of arrangements.
