Maxine May Webster Meyer was born May 21, 1913, at Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Clarence and Olga (Haagensen) Webster. She graduated from the Charles City High School in Charles City, Floyd county, Iowa.

On March 2, 1935, she was united in marriage to Arnold Meyer. They made their home in Charles City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Baptist Women. Maxine had many interests including sewing, volunteering for many different organizations and fishing on the Mississippi River. During her stay at the Salsbury Baptist Home Maxine enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Society.

Living family members include a son, Wayne (Bev) of Floyd; two daughters, Cathy (Joe) Peach of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Jackie (Jim) Pieper of Clear Lake, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Meyer of Charles City; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a cousin, Ray Webster of Charles City; two very special care givers from the Salsbury Baptist Home, Sean and Jeremiah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on August 12, 1991; a son, Laverne; a grandson; a great grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.
