Charles City, IowaPamela McCleary, 55, of Charles City, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.
Pastor Debra Lincoln of Jordan River and Pastor Gary Van Wert of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
Pamela Lee Knutson Frost McCleary was born August 22, 1952, at Charles City, the daughter of Paul and Lenore (Bean) Knutson. She graduated the Charles City High School in 1970. On April 17, 1971, she was united in marriage to John Frost. They later divorced.
Pamela then married Jon McCleary on August 12, 1995. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Pamela had worked as a waitress for several years and was known for her friendly demeanor. She enjoyed reading, working crafts, being on the farm, gardening and transversing the Iowa plains. Her step grandchildren were the joy of her life and she looked forward to spending time with them.
Living family members include her husband, Jon McCleary of Charles City; a son, Casey Frost of Greeneville, Tenn.; her mother, Lenore Knutson of Charles City; a sister, Jolene (Jim) Walker of Kalona; three step children, Jay and Paul McCleary both of Katy, Tex.; and Heather McCleary of Charles City; four step grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Nevaeh and Nakotah; a niece, Kara Walker of New York City, N.Y.; and three nephews, Luke Walker of Des Moines, and Samuel and Judah Walker both of Kalona.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father.
