Marion Castle, 90, Charles City died on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services for Marion Castle will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Rev. Ruth Yeaton, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charles City will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 10:00 until the time of services Tuesday morning.

Marion Berniece Trimble was born April 27, 1914, in Leeds, Missouri, the daughter of Arthur and Sarah Jane (Smith) Trimble. She was raised and educated in the Kansas City area and graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, MO. She was united in marriage to Vern Arthur Castle Sr. on November 4, 1929, in Mason City. She worked for the Glendale Adventist Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, the Rockford Womens Club, and the Moose Lodge.

Living family members include her children, Vern A. (Bud) Castle Jr. and wife Jeanne, Waterloo, Fred E. Castle Sr., Charles City, Jane Ann Nealand and husband Edwin, Coeur d Alene, Idaho; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Vern in 1962; and daughter Belva Schiff in 1994.
