FLOYD COUNTY. – In the Spring of 1858 the County Judge of Floyd Co., submitted to the voters the question of the removal of the County seat from St. Charles to the Geographical centre of the County, which vote resulted in a majority of 19 for removal. The case was taken up to the District Court by writ of certiorari, on account of irregularities in the notice of election, the petitions of removal, &c. The case was removed by the Defendants on charge of venue to Dubuque County, where Judge Wilson has lately decided the case in favor of the petitioners; thus leaving the County seat in law as it heretofore has been in fact, at St. Charles.
