Arlington, IA – Special: Funeral services for Joseph G. Thompson, 66, were held at the M. E. church at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Dr. D. D. Welch of Dubuque, a friend of the family, officiated.
Burial was in the Taylorville cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born at Arlington in 1868, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Thompson. Practically his entire life was spent in this community. The past four years his home had been at Newton.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Arthur Thompson of Gary, Ind.; and one daughter, Mrs. William Ainsworth of Newton.
