Lucille Martin

Funeral services for Lucille Martin were held Wed., March 6, 1985 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Clermont Church in Clermont. Rev. Kim Peterson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery at Clermont.

Lucille Elizabeth Martin, daughter of Erwin and Elizabeth (Steege) Kuepker, was born July 21, 1925 near Sumner, IA. She died March 3, 1985 at Community Memorial Hospital in Postville.

She was baptized July 21, 1925 at the home of her grandparents and confirmed May 18, 1940 at St. John Spring Fountain Catholic Church at rural Sumner, where she also attended the parochial school.

Jan. 26, 1949 she was married to Jorris Martin at the St. John Spring Fountain Church. They were the parents of four children. They have lived in the Clermont and Elgin area all of their life.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Victor Kuepker.

Surviving are her husband, Jorris, two sons, James of Independence and Steven at home, two daughters, Sharon Peterson of Elgin and Sandra Butikofer of Clermont and four grandchildren. Lisa Peterson, Dee Jae, Robbie and Jayme Butikofer.

Casket bearers were Terry Lerch, Kenny Lerch, Robert Lerch, Kevin Cable, Charles Kuepker and Phil Kuepker.
